Rothelowman have 140 staff in offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The Melbourne office has over 80 staff and is located in a warehouse building in Southbank, featuring a beautiful truss roof. The architecture and interiors of the office fit-out showcase the firms skills in commercial design and their ability to create wonderful spaces to be in.
This is my 4th week at Rothelowman and with my business partner Ben Pomroy we aim to grow the business in NSW, through innovative and creative thinking – an emerging design firm in the Sydney market. Rothelowman has 25 years of experience in a variety of project types including; residential, commercial, retail, master plan and mixed-use. Our ability to integrate Interior Design with Architecture, provides our clients with a holistic approach to design.
I posted a photo on Instagram when I visited the Melbourne office last week and could not believe the attention it received. Generally happy to receive 20 likes…. actually even 1 is good!. This photo cracked the matrix, gaining over 1000 likes. I believe this was a sign, I had made the right choice to move to Rothelowman, but happy to hear of any other reasons for this anomaly?
See attached link to an article on a project named 180B, located at 180 Anne Street, in Brisbane. 180B, is a 32 level commercial office tower, designed by Crone Partners in 2012 and targetting a 6 Star Green Star environmental rating, with the Green Building Council of Australia. It was announced last week that Watpac, have been engaged to deliver the project for the client Daisho, with construction to be completed by July 2015.
Crone Partners previously worked with Watpac on the Telstra Tower, for Charter Hall in 2009. The Telstra Tower is located at 275 George Street in Brisbane and is a Grade “A” commercial office tower with over 40,000m2 of NLA.
180B is a 32 level office tower located in Ann Street Brisbane. I headed the Design Team at Crone Partners for our client Daisho with the aim of developing a highly efficient, environmentally sustainable office tower. The building is targeting a 6 Star Green Star (World’s Best Practice) certification with the Green Building Council of Australia. 180B is currently at the end of Tender Documentation Stage with construction to commence early 2013. The works are due for completion July 2015.
One of the key features of the design is a large super graphic of the Brisbane River located on the north eastern facade. This will be developed using a frit pattern and low iron glass to the curtain wall system and modifications to the custom designed, twin blade sun shading devices. The super graphic allows the building to be identified from varying locations and aspects around the city.
